Drive north on the Pacific Coast Highway (from LA), and through the canyons (from the Santa Clarita area), if you want to treat yourself with amazing views.
There are 25 miles between LAX and Pepperdine University, and the driving distance can be made in approximately 45 minutes to an hour. To get to the university take the I-405 (San Diego Freeway) from the airport, head north to interstate 10 (Santa Monica Freeway), head west on I-10 until you get on the Pacific Coast Highway, and than drive 14 miles north into Malibu, make a right on the Malibu Canyon Road, turn left at Seaver Drive and you're there. Stop at the information booth and get a visitor pass and parking instructions.
